Brandon Carney

Co-Founding Partner and Chief Executive Officer

Brandon oversees Divergent’s daily operations, focusing on quality control, strategic relationship creation, project execution and sales. Brandon has spent his entire career in the translation services industry, beginning with industry leader Geotext Translations then TransPerfect Translations. After spending two years in the New York office of Geotext Translations managing many of its largest and highest profile assignments, Brandon was asked to reestablish its San Francisco office by turning the small satellite sales office into a full-scale sales and production hub. Under Brandon’s leadership and guidance, the San Francisco office realized revenue growth of over 400% and more than quadrupled headcount. After this successful turnaround, Brandon continued to manage many of the firm’s largest transactions, at times overseeing individual project teams of 50 to 75 in-house and freelance resources concurrently. Upon leaving Geotext, Brandon joined TransPerfect Translations, the largest privately held translation agency in the world. Brandon’s extensive experience provides a unique perspective and an intimate working knowledge of the industry.

Brandon holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish with a minor in Philosophy from Gettysburg College.

Eddie Jacob

Director of Production

Eddie manages all project operations and production personnel firmwide. Eddie began his career in translation services in 2013, when he first gained experience in project management during his time with TransPerfect Translations. There he specialized in marketing and financial translation, overseeing projects for some of the highest profile Fortune 500 client accounts. Eddie was quickly recognized as a natural leader with inherent project management skills. He was soon charged with managing not only translation projects but client accounts as well, enabling him to directly interact with and advise clients on best practices to satisfy their specific needs. Eddie’s depth of experience in both sales and project management give him a unique insight into all aspects of the translation business.

Eddie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Peace and Conflict Studies from Colgate University.

Brian Klunk

Business Development Manager

Brian joined Divergent Language Solutions in 2019. As Business Development Manager for Divergent he is responsible for new and existing accounts, and partnership development. Brian most recently spent seven years with ALM media where he worked with legal media titles such as ‘The American Lawyer,’ ‘National Law Journal,’ and Law.com. His experience with the legal industry began with Euromoney/ Institutional Investor in New York City, launching finance and legal events in the U.S., Hong Kong, Moscow, and Dubai. After relocating to Northern California Brian worked within enterprise tech and the learning industry with C-level programs. His focus on customer success garnered him two President’s Club awards with ALM, and the opportunity to expand from traditional media and events into marketing services, demand generation, and custom services. Brian’s consultative approach and deep understanding of his clients’ needs continue to serve the legal community and aligns with Divergent’s commitment to service excellence.
