Jason is one of Divergent’s three founding partners. Jason is the head of sourcing and new business for a $1.5 billion NYC-based private equity firm primarily focused on investing in credit opportunities. In 2009, Jason drew upon his extensive experience in distressed corporate, real estate and special situation investing to cofound the distressed debt group at Palatine Capital Partners. Prior to joining Palatine, Jason led loan sourcing, diligence and execution at Silver Point Capital. Jason began his investment career at MJ Whitman/Third Avenue Management and Mission Capital Advisors.
Jason holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management with a Finance concentration from Gettysburg College.
Brian is one of Divergent’s three founding partners. Brian has been a legal, sales and trading professional in the credit investment business for over fifteen years. After working in the legal department at Third Avenue Management during law school, Brian moved to the business side of the firm and worked in various credit sourcing, trading and sales capacities. In 2000, Brian became managing director responsible for all private credit transactions firm-wide. In 2003, Brian moved on to become a sourcing and trading professional at a multibillion dollar, private investment fund focused on distressed credit investing, where he continues his tenure today.
Brian is a graduate of Boston College, received a J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law, and obtained a Diploma in Credit Analysis at New York University.
Peter is a seasoned corporate executive with a broad and distinguished career in the office products distribution and services industry. His expertise was developed through thirty years of acquiring and operating small, medium and large companies, preceded by a fifteen year career in financial management.
In 1980, Peter became Chief Operating Officer of A-Copy and in 1985 was made its President and CEO. Under Peter’s leadership, A-Copy experienced a decade of double-digit compound annual growth in both revenues and earnings. In 1994, he moved to the senior management team of the parent company, IKON Office Solutions, and became President of Business Services – North America in 1998. In 2002 Peter joined Global Imaging Systems as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Global was acquired by Xerox in 2007 and Peter was a critical member of the acquisition transition through 2011, when he retired. Global remains one of Xerox’s most profitable divisions to this day. Peter has served on the board of numerous civic and charitable organizations, most recently as Chairman of the Board of Managers of Girard College in Philadelphia, PA.
Peter earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Rutgers University and a Masters of Business Administration with an Accounting specialty from Rutgers Graduate School of Management.
